about cardiff demons

Cardiff Demons Rugby League Football Club was formed in 2021 to compete in the inaugural season of the Women's Super League South.

It provided the stepping stone required between the community game in Wales and the International Women's side who played their first full international in the same year, live on Sky Sports, against England.

The Demons now sit as an important development tool in driving the Welsh Team towards the 2025 World Cup.

The Story SO FAR

The Demons are the only standalone Women's team in the sport of Rugby League. The first two years have seen the team compete in two seasons of the Women's Super league South winning 12 of 13 games.

This record has seen them lift the Super League South trophy in both seasons since the club formed, beating the Army 30 - 26 at Ealing Trailfinders in 2021 and following this up with a 34-4 victory over the London Broncos at Cross Keys RFC in 2022.

As well as this, the club also competed in the inaugural Super League nines tournament which saw them win 2 of 3 games beating Bradford 29 - 4 and Leigh Miners 19 - 4. They fell short of the finals losing to the eventual overall champions York CIty Valkyrie 26-0.

These games have seen the club issue 36 heritage numbers with the first ever Demons u16 fixture also played at the end of the 2022 season.
